Justin Brownlee scored 18 points and grabbed 13 rebounds, and Barangay Ginebra stepped on the gas in the 3rd quarter to run away with a 101-92 victory over NLEX in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup at Cuneta Astrodome on Wednesday.
Ginebra, which trailed 48-47 at halftime, turned up its offense after the break, making 5 3-pointers and outscoring NLEX 42-14 in the 3rd.

"But I'm pleased with the way we came out in the second half and pretty much took care of business in the third quarter.
"It was a key game for us to win, for the standings. Try to get some momentum especially after getting off a long break. Twelve to 13 days before we play."
Joe Devance added 18 points, Japeth Aguilar 17 and 4 blocks, while LA Tenorio finished with 13 points and 5 assists for Ginebra, which led by as many as 29 points.
Ginebra had more 3-point field goals than NLEX had total baskets (4) in the decisive 3rd-quarter run that helped coach Tim Cone and co. raise its win-loss record to 3-1.
Wayne Chism scored 16 points for NLEX, which lost its 7th straight.
