Andrew Wiggins scored 24 points and hit 2 free throws in the game's dying seconds to help the Minnesota Timberwolves edge the Golden State Warriors 103-102 on Friday night (Saturday morning, Manila).
Wiggins' bonus shots with 12 ticks left -- off a foul by Zaza Pachulia -- made amends for the pair he missed in the previous play to put Minnesota up for good.
Golden State trailed for a large part of the game, but seized the lead for the first time since early in the 1st quarter when Steph Curry's basket made it 102-101 with 19 seconds remaining.
Klay Thompson led the Warriors with 30 points, and Curry registered 26 on a night that saw the former 2-time MVP struggle again from 3-point distance.
The career 43.7% shooter from behind the arc is making only 23.6% of his shots from downtown in his last 7 games, according to Basketball-Reference.com.
Golden State is now 2-4 since February 28, the time Kevin Durant was forced to leave midway through a road game in Washington because of an injury. No timeline for his return has been set yet.
