MANILA — Joshua Pacio scored a massive win against former world champion Dejdamrong Sor Amnuaysirichoke in ONE: Warrior Kingdom at a jampacked Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand, late Saturday evening.
Pacio outworked the Muay Thai veteran with his superior ground skills to eke out a split decision and take one more step toward a possible rematch with Yoshitaka Naito for the ONE strawweight championship.
It was a big comeback for the Team Lakay stalwart who improved his record to 9-1. His lone defeat came in the hands of Naito and he just might get a chance at payback.
Rabin “The Rock” Catalan remained winless in ONE Championship after being stopped by Thailand's Pongsiri Mitsatit in Round 1.
Ramon Gonzales came close to beating Thailand's Yodsanan Sityodtong with a guillotine choke. But the gustsy Thai fighter roared back in the second round pounding Gonzales to a 2nd-round submission.
Richard Corminal got clipped with a knee and a vicious right hand and lost to Thai Shannon "Oneshin" Wiratchai in the 1st round.
