Kevin Durant will be out indefinitely after the Golden State Warriors forward sustained a sprained MCL and a bone bruise on his left leg, the team said on Wednesday.
According to ESPN.com, Durant will be evaluated in 4 weeks to see if he can return to action by then.
The injury happened in the first quarter of Tuesday's game in Washington, when Wizards center Marcin Gortat fouled Warriors big man Zaza Pachulia, who fell on Durant's leg.

Durant, the Warriors' leading per-game scorer and rebounder, could suit up in early April, in time for the team's last 10 regular-season games or so, although Golden State should be strong enough to take care of business in Round 1 of the playoffs that it could sit Durant to ensure he comes back 100% healthy.
While the Warriors are the first team to clinch a playoff berth, Durant's predicament could make the playoff positioning a bit interesting.
The San Antonio Spurs are 4 games behind, while the retooled Cleveland Cavaliers are 8 games off.
