MANILA, Philippines – Ateneo de Manila University's former "Phenoms," Alyssa Valdez and Kiefer Ravena, are back in Manila to get some rest and relaxation after their busy stints in international leagues.
Valdez, who plays in the Thailand League, returned last weekend to take part in the national team tryouts in Davao, and then watched the UAAP Season 79 game between Ateneo and University of the Philippines last Sunday.
Ravena, meanwhile, has been a developmental player for the Texas Legends in the NBA D-League for the past few months. He competed for Mighty Sports in a Dubai tournament last week, and is also getting therapy for his injured hand while in Manila.
Though the distance has been a challenge for their relationship, their support and understanding for each other's dreams have kept them going strong.
Watch more from Alyssa Valdez and Kiefer Ravena on TV Patrol tonight.
