The province of Cebu will play host to a game that features the first- and second-ranked teams. It's also a matchup between, without question, the No. 1 and No. 2 players of the PBA Philippine Cup.
GlobalPort tries to strengthen its bid for a twice-to-beat advantage when it faces San Miguel at Hoops Dome in Lapu Lapu City on Saturday. Tip-off is at 5 p.m.
To avoid any complications, GlobalPort (5-3) must win its remaining games to be assured of a playoff incentive.

That quest begins against the defending champions (8-1) and 3-time MVP June Mar Fajardo, who will feel right at home in front of his provincemates.
Like GlobalPort, San Miguel enters their game after an 8-day layoff, a prolonged break that benefits a Beermen team that plays its starters heavy minutes.
San Miguel will need every bit of recovery time if it hopes to contain a GlobalPort squad that relies on spitfire guard Terrence Romeo, who is fighting with Fajardo for the conference's best player.
San Miguel is coming off 2 games which it nearly lost — a slugfest against Barangay Ginebra on January 8 and a come-from-behind overtime win over Rain Or Shine on January 13.
Since its epic collapse to Phoenix last month, GlobalPort has won 2 straight, its most recent victory a showcase of Romeo's relentlessness on the offensive side of the court.
