Ginebra has won consecutively over Meralco and Blackwater, while Phoenix is fresh off manhandling NLEX.

Ginebra's star big man Japeth Aguilar is a game-time decision, after he hyperextended his elbow in Friday's game against Blackwater.

“We’re certainly not ruling out Japeth, but he is doubtful to play. We will continue to treat and rehab him through the day and night,” said Ginebra coach Tim Cone in the PBA website.

Phoenix coach Ariel Vanguardia's defense will now focus on the rest of the "barangay" that includes LA Tenorio, Scottie Thompson and big men Dave Marcelo and Jervy Cruz who will fill in Aguilar’s position.

“Nothing to celebrate pa dahil kumpol-kumpol pa kami sa gitna ng team standings,” Vanguardia said after his team's victory over NLEX.

Meanwhile, Alaska and Mahindra clash in a battle for survival.

Alaska, which recently bowed to Blackwater, sits at 8th place with a 4-4 record, but is only a half game behind the teams tied from 2nd to 6th places.

But like Mahindra, which remains in contention for a playoff spot despite starting 0-5, Alaska knows one loss could prove detrimental to the team's quarterfinal hopes.

The Floodbuster management even reactivated their playing coach, fighting Senator Manny Pacquiao to boost the team’s morale against the Aces.
