Filipina fighter wins first URCC women's flyweight title
Reigning light heavyweight champion Chris Hoffman made URCC history by stopping John "The Outlaw" Adajar and claiming the vacant middleweight title in the main card of "URCC 28: Vindication" on Sunday.
The Fil-Swiss became the first fighter in the URCC to hold separate titles in two weight divisions.
Hoffman, who lost 19 pounds just to make it to the middleweight class, rocked the Outlaw with a vicious hook that sent Adajar reeling in the cage in the second round.
Hoffman followed it up with a flying knee that connected to the chin and dropped Adajar. The Fil-Swiss proceeded to batter the Outlaw on the ground until the referee stopped the fight.
"It's amazing," said Hoffman after his victory. "Kudos to Don Adajar, he showed he belongs to this promotion, but he's not in my league."
