MANILA -- Basketball star Paul Lee bid farewell to his former team Rain or Shine after news broke out that he has been traded to the Star Hotshots.
The "Lethal Weapon" has been traded for James Yap in a blockbuster deal approved by the PBA on Thursday afternoon.
"I would like to say thank you to Rain or Shine for everything," Lee said in his Instagram account.
"Thank you for taking care of me habang nasa team ako, thank you for the great experience and of course thank you for the 2 Championship[s] #Lethalweapon #AngasNgTondo #NeedToMoveOn Next trip."
The message came with a photo of the Rain or Shine team that won the recent PBA Commissioner's Cup.
The picture also included JR Quinahan who was also traded on Thursday for GlobalPort's Jay Washington.
Lee was the Finals MVP when Rain or Shine won the 2016 PBA Commissioner's Cup, and averaged 8.9 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.9 assists in an injury-plagued campaign this season.
